Booking terms
Last updated: 19 August 2026
These terms explain how domestic bookings with SR Exterior Cleaning work. They are intended to keep the arrangement clear and fair for both you and SR. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
1. About these terms
“SR”, “we” and “us” mean SR Exterior Cleaning. “Customer” and “you” mean the person requesting or purchasing the service. These terms apply to services supplied to domestic customers in the United Kingdom.
The agreed description of the work, price, booking confirmation and these terms together form the agreement between us. If an individually agreed written term conflicts with this page, the individually agreed term takes priority.
2. Estimates and booking requests
- An online calculator result is an estimate based on the information you provide. It is not a binding quotation or confirmed appointment.
- A booking is confirmed only when SR accepts your request and agrees the work, price or pricing basis, property and appointment with you.
- Please check the confirmation and tell us promptly if anything is incorrect.
- We may revise or withdraw an estimate before work starts if the property, surface condition, access, measurements or requested work differs materially from the information supplied. We will explain any change and obtain your agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work.
3. How the service will be carried out
SR will perform the agreed service with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time, taking account of the property, weather and safe working conditions. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies to services supplied to consumers.
Cleaning improves surfaces but cannot guarantee that every stain, mark, organic growth, oxidation, discolouration or historic damage will be removed. Some defects only become visible after dirt is removed. We will not undertake work that we reasonably believe would be unsafe or likely to cause disproportionate damage.
4. Your responsibilities
Before the appointment, you must take reasonable steps to:
- Provide accurate property, service and access information, including height restrictions and locked areas.
- Tell us about fragile, loose, cracked, leaking, recently repaired or poorly secured surfaces and any known hazards.
- Close windows and doors, secure pets, unlock agreed access and move vehicles, furniture, ornaments and other vulnerable items away from the working area.
- Ensure that anyone at the property knows we are attending and that we have permission to work on the relevant areas.
- Provide access to water or electricity only where this has been agreed as part of the service.
If safe or reasonable access is not available, we may pause, alter or rearrange the work. If a wasted-visit charge may apply, its amount or calculation will be disclosed and agreed before the appointment.
5. Delays, weather and unsafe conditions
Exterior work depends on suitable weather, safe access and equipment. We may postpone, stop or alter a visit because of high winds, ice, lightning, extreme temperatures, unsafe surfaces, equipment failure or other circumstances outside reasonable control. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and offer a new appointment. Neither party is responsible for delay caused by circumstances genuinely outside their reasonable control.
6. Prices and payment
- The agreed price and any applicable taxes will be confirmed before work begins.
- Unless a different arrangement is confirmed, payment is due when the agreed work is completed.
- Any deposit, staged payment, minimum charge or recurring-payment arrangement must be clearly agreed before it applies.
- If payment is overdue, we may send reasonable reminders and recover sums properly due. We will not add an undisclosed fee.
7. Changing or cancelling an appointment
Please give as much notice as reasonably possible if you need to rearrange or cancel. A future recurring visit can be cancelled by contacting SR; there is no minimum commitment unless one was expressly agreed beforehand.
SR may cancel or end a booking where work cannot be performed safely or lawfully, information supplied is materially inaccurate, payment remains overdue, or threatening or abusive behaviour occurs. You will only be charged for properly completed work and reasonable agreed costs already incurred.
8. Your 14-day cancellation right
Where a consumer contract is agreed by telephone, online or away from SR’s business premises, you will normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason.
If you ask SR to begin during that period, we will require an express request. If you then cancel after work has begun, you may have to pay a reasonable proportion for the service supplied up to cancellation. Once the service has been fully performed following your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may end. These rules do not affect any additional cancellation flexibility SR agrees with you.
Model cancellation notice
You may cancel with any clear statement, or use this wording:
“To SR Exterior Cleaning: I give notice that I cancel my contract for [describe the service], agreed on [date], for work at [address]. Customer name: [name]. Date: [date].”
Send it through the contact page or call 07738 429970.
9. Property condition and damage
Please identify pre-existing damage or unusual surface treatments before work starts. Weathered seals, loose pointing, failing paint, cracked render, unstable paving, brittle plastics and defective fittings may deteriorate during otherwise careful cleaning. SR is not responsible for a defect that was pre-existing or for an unavoidable result of that defect, provided the service was performed with reasonable care and skill.
If SR causes property damage through a failure to use reasonable care and skill, please tell us promptly and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, put it right. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights.
SR is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses arising from a domestic customer contract.
10. Photographs
You may provide job photographs to assist with a quote or access assessment. You confirm that you are entitled to share them. SR will not use identifiable property photographs for advertising or social media without separate permission. Our privacy notice explains how job photographs and personal information are handled.
11. Problems and complaints
If you believe something is wrong, contact SR as soon as reasonably possible. For a visible cleaning issue, please try to contact us within 48 hours so we can inspect it and try to resolve matters. This requested timescale does not reduce your legal rights or prevent you reporting a problem discovered later.
We may offer to repeat or correct the affected part of the service where that is the appropriate remedy. You retain all remedies available under consumer law.
12. Contact and governing law
Contact SR using our contact page or call 07738 429970. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you also retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available where you live.
