Privacy notice
Last updated: 19 August 2026
This notice explains what personal information SR Exterior Cleaning collects, why we need it and the choices you have. We only use your information where there is a lawful reason to do so.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
SR Exterior Cleaning (“SR”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
You can contact us by calling 07738 429970, using our contact page.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you contact us and the work requested, we may collect:
- Your name, telephone number, email address and preferred contact method.
- The service address, postcode, property details, access information and preferred dates.
- The services requested, estimates, agreed prices, booking history, invoices and payment records.
- Messages, enquiries, complaints and other communications with us.
- Photographs you choose to upload or provide to help assess or record the work.
- Limited technical information such as IP address, security logs and essential website connection data.
Please do not send photographs containing people, vehicle registrations or unrelated private information unless it is necessary.
3. How and why we use it
We do not currently use booking details for unrelated email or text marketing. If that changes, we will provide a clear choice and any required consent. We do not sell personal information.
4. Information needed to provide the service
The booking form identifies required fields. Without basic contact, address and job information, we may be unable to provide an estimate, assess access or arrange the work. Sending a booking request does not itself confirm an appointment.
5. Who may receive your information?
We share information only where reasonably necessary, and only with:
- Website hosting, secure email, file-storage and other IT providers acting for us.
- Payment providers, accountants and professional advisers where relevant.
- Insurers, emergency services, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where necessary or legally required.
- A subcontractor helping to complete agreed work, where one is used and the customer has been informed.
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we will use a provider and transfer mechanism permitted by UK data-protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a booking: normally up to 12 months after the last contact.
- Completed bookings, invoices, payments and related communications: normally up to six years, where needed for tax, accounting, insurance or legal claims.
- Quotation photographs: normally up to 12 months after the last contact if no work is booked. Photographs relevant to completed work or a dispute may be kept with the job record for up to six years.
- Security and technical logs: only for the period reasonably needed to protect and operate the website, subject to the hosting provider’s backup cycle.
We may delete information sooner when it is no longer required, or retain a limited record for longer where the law, an insurer, a dispute or an active complaint requires it.
7. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information, restrict access and choose reputable service providers. No internet or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Cookies and automated decisions
The current website uses only technical features needed for security and operation of the booking form. It does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking. If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are added later, the notice and consent controls must be updated first.
The instant-price tool produces an estimate from the options selected. It does not make a legal or similarly significant decision about you, and SR reviews booking requests before confirming the price or appointment.
9. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer of information you supplied, or object to particular uses. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. These rights are not absolute; for example, we may need to retain invoice information required by law.
Your right to object: you can object at any time to direct marketing, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will consider and respond to every request.
10. Questions and complaints
Please contact SR first so we have an opportunity to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website, providers or business processes change. The latest version and update date will always appear on this page.
